Day 1 (departure day)
3 dives Similan Islands and Koh Bon – Pick up from the hotel in Khao Lak around 07:15 and transfer to the harbour. We then take a day tour boat to the Similan Islands, where we transfer to the MV Bavaria. After a short briefing, we go straight to a check dive. Then we continue to Koh Bon, one of the most famous dive sites for manta ray sightings. Manta rays can always be seen around the rock itself and around Koh Bon Pinnacle. The best time is from mid-December to April. This is also when we do the remaining two dives.
Day 2
4 dives Koh Tachai and Surin Island – on the second day of our safari we do 2 dives on Koh Tachai. The site is known for turtles and leopard sharks, but manta rays and, with a bit of luck, a whale shark can also be seen around Koh Tachai. We then continue to the Surin Islands, where we will do the remaining two dives of the day.
Day 3
4 dives Surin Island and Richelieu Rock – early in the morning we experience the wild nature of the Surin Islands and the smaller islands. We start the day with a dive at the Surin Islands and then continue to Richelieu Rock, one of the most famous dive sites in Thailand. Here you can find almost anything and at any time, from seahorses and ghost rag fish to schools of barracuda, perch and wrasse, tuna and octopus. Large fish such as manta rays and whale sharks are also regularly spotted here. We will do 3 dives here before travelling back to Tablamu via Koh Tachai and Koh Bon.
Day 4 (arrival day)
2 dives Koh Tachai and Koh Bon – we do the first dive on Koh Tachai. Then we head to Koh Bon for the last dive before heading back to Tablamu harbour, where we arrive between 14:30 and 15:30.
