Trip B

Ko Bon, Ko Tachai, Richelieu Rock and Surin Island

Ko Bon, Ko Tachai, Richelieu Rock and Surin Island

4 Days / 3 Nights – Up to 13 Dives

Day 0 – Pre-Check (the day before departure)
By 6:00 pm, please register at the Loma Diving Adventure Dive Center in Khao Lak.
Here we prepare and check equipment, and settle the national park fees as well as any extras (Nitrox – certification required, 15L tanks, rental equipment, etc.). Payments are accepted in cash (THB).

Day 1 – Similan Islands & Koh Bon (3 dives)
Hotel pick-up in Khao Lak at around 7:15 am, followed by transfer to Tablamu Harbour.
From there, a day-trip boat takes us to the Similan Islands, where we transfer to the MV Bavaria.
After a short briefing, we begin with a check dive before continuing to Koh Bon – famous for frequent manta ray encounters at the main reef and Koh Bon Pinnacle. The best chances are from mid-December to April. Two more dives at Koh Bon complete the day.

Day 2 – Koh Tachai & Surin Islands (4 dives)
In the morning, we dive twice at Koh Tachai, known for turtles and leopard sharks, with manta rays – and occasionally even a whale shark – as special highlights.
In the afternoon, we continue to the Surin Islands, where we complete the day with two more dives in this pristine national park.

Day 3 – Surin Islands & Richelieu Rock (4 dives)
The day begins with a dive at the Surin Islands, followed by a transfer to Richelieu Rock – one of Thailand’s most legendary dive sites. Here, almost anything is possible: from tiny critters such as seahorses and ghost pipefish to schools of barracuda, groupers, wrasse, tuna, and octopus. Larger visitors such as manta rays and whale sharks are also regularly sighted. We enjoy three dives at Richelieu Rock before starting our journey back south via Koh Tachai and Koh Bon.

Day 4 – Return via Koh Tachai & Koh Bon (2 dives)
Our final day begins with a dive at Koh Tachai, followed by one last dive at Koh Bon.
Afterwards, we cruise back to Tablamu Harbour, arriving between 2:30 and 4:30 pm.
